JUNIPER
JUNIPER
after a poem by Grief Mother
The ego of the entropic world,
a rat’s nest built in an old
Victorian mansion.
My corpse, an afterimage,
slashed by sharp lines of horror.
A backwards world,
where the Rat-queen reigns,
mansions are nests for her children,
the incumbent ruler,
rules in a world
with more entropy
than world.
Gurgles of laughter from a theater of rats,
glimmers of purples
dance with blue glitter,
children leashed, men glued to traps,
human amusement brings mirth.
